How Neurotoxins Are Used
Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are the three neurotoxins that currently dominate this market, with Botox and Dysport considered household names. All of these products are derived from what is known as botulinum toxin, a particularly potent molecule that can be altered to treat disease, relax and improve the look of frown lines and wrinkles, minimize sweat glands, and target chronic migraines. Jeuveau essentially works the same way, since it is structurally identical to some of the pre-existing Botox alternatives. Jeuveau's main difference is its origin. This toxin is manufactured in South Korea and although it only recently received FDA approval, it has been around for quite some time. It is widely known that Botox is produced in the small Irish town of Westport. Many injectors have begun to find that Jeuveau offers similar results, to Botox and Dysport.
What's different about Jeuveau?
We’ve seen that this tox works almost identically to the already established ones, but its recent trendiness has captured the attention of the cosmetic world, especially millennials -- their key demographic. In recent years, I've undoubtedly seen more patients visiting for preventative toxin treatments. Educating younger patients and providing them with a variety of options ensures that every patient is well-informed prior to treatments like “Baby Botox.” My signature Baby Botox technique involves around 20 units dispersed in through micro-droplets. Smaller doses of toxins encourage smooth, wrinkle-free foreheads but never frozen or "done".For those that are always looking for the next exciting thing to try, come see me for Jeuveau! This month I'm offering Jeuveau at an introductory rate of $10/unit, regularly $15/unit.
